Who invented this delicious dish?
We found this special Japanese menu, Sukiyaki (slowly cooked beef and vegetables in a hot pot style) and ramen together.
Let’s ask the creator of this dish about his passion.
The president of Yakko Dining (BEEF KITCHEN STAND), Mr. Takeshi Matsumoto, was born and raised in a family of sushi and Japanese food restaurants in Yokohama, which has been in business for 80 years. He has a genuine culinary background, having trained at famous sushi restaurants in Tokyo since he was 18 years old. He is now 44 years old and manages 20 restaurants in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and other cities.
After receiving strong requests from overseas customers coming as tourists, he started developing a ramen dish that combines Japanese beef, sukiyaki, and ramen together.
Following repeated trial tastings and attending ramen schools, he finally completed a supreme bowl of ramen. The ramen is also characterized by the wide variety of flavors that can be enjoyed when ordering raw eggs or rice to go with the wagyu sukiyaki ramen.
What was the most difficult part, I asked him. “It took a year from conception to commercialization because we were so focused on quality,” he answered.
What is the best thing a customer has ever said to you? “I’ve never had ramen like this before! It’s really delicious. I want to give it to my girlfriend.”
“If Wagyu Sukiyaki Ramen is enjoyed by so many customers, I want to open a restaurant overseas so that more people can try it,” he thinks.
Currently, you can eat this miracle ramen in Tokyo and Yokohama.
