Fuel up With Plant-Based Protein

Eat Carbs, but Make Them Whole
On the ever-controversial topic of carbs, the Canadian Food Guide states that these should still be included but only account for about a quarter of your meal.
When choosing which carbs to eat, the guidelines favor whole grains over refined ones. This means quinoa, wholewheat pasta, and brown rice.
As for sugary snacks, you probably know that you should limit them to the very occasional treat. And remember: this also includes the sugar contained in drinks and sodas, as well as the one you pop into your cup of coffee every morning.
